Join local ceramic artist and educator JoAnn Flotemersch for a fun and creative handbuilding experience designed for children and their grown-ups. This three-week class introduces the foundations of working with clay through fun projects geared towards kids that encourage collaboration and hands-on learning.
Together, participants will explore traditional clay handbuilding techniques such as pinch pots and coil building, as well as texture, and surface decoration while creating unique ceramic pieces side by side. Projects are designed to be approachable for beginners while leaving plenty of room for individual expression!
By the end of the session, each pair will leave with new skills and lasting memories made together in the studio.
Designed for one child and one adult partner
Class is intended for kids ages 5-11. Reach out to confirm ages outside of this range :)
