6-Week Handbuilding Ceramics Class
Sundays, 1:00–4:00 PM
March 22 – April 26
Explore the creative possibilities of clay in this 6-week handbuilding ceramics class designed for beginners and anyone interested in developing new skills without using the wheel.
Each class will include demonstrations of core handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab construction, followed by time to work on your own pieces with guidance, feedback, and support in a relaxed studio environment.
During the first part of the session, students will create cups or small bowls using two different handbuilding methods to learn foundational techniques. Once those basics are introduced, students will choose a larger final project to focus on for the remainder of the class. Final projects might include a vase, planter, sculptural piece, or another personal design, allowing time to develop ideas and refine skills.
This class is a great opportunity to experiment with clay, learn new techniques, and work in a creative and supportive group setting.
