Community Clay

Independent Studio Time for Clay Makers

Community Clay is our shared studio time for makers who want space to work independently. Whether you're a current student continuing a project, an experienced potter looking for studio access, or someone returning to clay after some time away, Community Clay gives you the flexibility to create at your own pace.

Community Clay Hours are currently available by appointment. We ask that you schedule ahead so we can make sure the studio is open and ready for your visit.

Drop-In Rate

Studio Time: $20/hour
Clay: $5/pound weighed at the end based on work you decide to keep (price includes cost of glazing and firing)

During Community Clay, you may throw, handbuild, or glaze. Most makers spend 1–2 hours per visit.

Examples:

A one-hour throwing session using 1 lb of clay
→ $25 total

A two-hour handbuilding session using 4 lbs of clay
→ $60 total

A return visit to glaze your pieces is billed at the same studio rate.
